The Good Stranger

Second "Love Neighbor" class this Sunday, March 14 at 11:30 a.m. (Daylight Savings Time - Don't forget to "spring forward"!)

This week we are going to talk about one of the stories Jesus told, the story of the Good Samaritan. This is a really powerful and important story about how we should live our lives. The Zoom link is below!


We are also starting our "Love Neighbor" service project of writing to new penpals! You should have received some blank cards in the mail this week. We will write our letters together in class. Here are your penpal assignments:

These penpals are all members of our church who have volunteered to receive a card and write back. Begin by writing at the top, Dear Miss______ or Mr._________, using first names (such as Miss Ruby or Mr. Keith). These are some ideas for messages: "Flowers to Brighten Your Day"; "Balloons For You!", "Wishing you Sunshine!" "Sending You Love!"

The older children may want to write a note. Ideas are to inquire about the adult's health or ask a question about what they like to do or what they did as a kid; tell the adult what grade the child is in and their favorite subjects; talk about favorite activities or their family.
