Homecoming Sunday: Meet our "Meeting Owl"

Updated: Aug 26, 2022

Starting Sept. 18, Meeting Owl helps kids interact at home and at church

Thanks to church Council for investing in new equipment for our conference room, to help our Blended (hybrid) Sunday School run smoothly this year!

Sunday School resumes on September 18th, both in-person and online, at 10 a.m. Mountain Time. September 18th is Homecoming Sunday, featuring root beer floats and name tag decorating in the courtyard after the service.

Planning to come in person? Read on to find out what to expect this year.

Worship starts at 10 a.m. A greeter will give you a bulletin and help you find a name tag and a place to sit. If you arrive five minutes early, your child is welcome to volunteer to help light the candle at the start of worship. During the pastor’s welcome, children ages 4-11 will be invited to gather at the south end of the sanctuary. The greeter will walk them to the conference room for Sunday School.

Sunday School is taught by Pastor Chelsea. A volunteer will tell a story for the children to illustrate, followed by check-in time for the children to get to know each other. After the sermon time, the children will be brought back into the sanctuary to sit on the steps with Pastor Brent for a short chat, then return to sit with their parents. Once worship is over, there are refreshments and a place to play in the fellowship hall.

We can't wait to see you!
