Are you age 8-21 and distressed about climate change and air quality in Utah?
The nonprofit organization Our Children’s Trust is currently looking for young people who would like to join a new state lawsuit as youth plaintiffs, taking legal action to protect their rights to breathable air and a safe climate. This new climate lawsuit aims to ensure that the Utah state government stops contributing to the climate crisis. As a plaintiff, you would be part of a group of youth asking the state government to stop harming Utah’s air quality and climate, and protect your right to life, liberty, and equality.
Pastor Chelsea has information from Our Children's Trust that she can send you if you are interested. HUCC does not officially endorse this lawsuit, but the Creation Justice team chairperson brought it to our attention, and it seems like something constructive that a youth with a passion could do.
